Wheatland Announces Creation of Sharing Success Fund

Wheatland Electric establishes $10,000 charitable fund to benefit non-profits.

Scott City(November 20, 2012)- Wheatland Electric, Inc., an electric cooperative serving more than 33,000 electric meters in 19 different counties across Kansas, today announced the creation of a $10,000 charitable fund designed to benefit non-profit organizations throughout their service territory across rural Kansas.

We now accept credit card payments!

Wheatland Electric now accepts payment by credit card. You can use your card in person at any of our offices, online through our newly revised website, or call to pay with your card.  Please have a copy of your electric or internet bill when you call to make the transaction as smooth as possible. Also, a fee of $3.50 will be charged for every transaction.  Wheatland Electric offers this payment option for only residential members. Please contact us for questions.

Wheatland Selects New General Manager

Bruce Mueller, currently Business Group Manager/CFO for San Bernard Electric Coop, Inc. (SBEC) in Bellville, Texas was recently selected to be Wheatland’s fifth general manager. He will take the place of Neil Norman who has managed Wheatland since 1990. Lewis Mitchell, Bill Dobson and Frank Arthur held the manager’s position before Norman. Wheatland was formed in 1948.
