Calling all artists!!! 

Students (grades K-12) in our service territory are invited to design this year’s annual meeting artwork!

Each year, goodie bags are distributed to members attending our annual meeting at all eight locations across southwest and central Kansas. This year, we’d like to feature a design (or designs) created by our mini members!

All design submissions will be considered, but priority will be given to submissions reflecting this year’s annual meeting theme: 

Illuminating Connections: How does electricity illuminate your life?

To submit your design, send your high resolution artwork in digital format (JPEG, AI, PNG, EPS, TIFF, PSD or PDF) to contests@weci.net or by hard copy to any local Wheatland Electric office by March 8, 2024.

Design This


Eligibility: Artists must: (a) be a student in grades K-12, (b) have a parent or legal guardian that is a member of Wheatland Electric Cooperative, Inc. (i.e., active electric account holder). 

Artwork Requirements: Each entry must be an original artwork and not contain any copyrighted material. Any 2D medium is welcome (painting, drawing, mixed media, photography, etc.), as long as it is flat and scannable.

Submission and Deadline: All entries must be received, in person or via mail, by March 8, 2024, at a local Wheatland Electric office or via contests@weci.net. 

Selection of Winners and Prizes: Selected entries will be publicly displayed on meeting bags (and possibly elsewhere) during this year's 2024 Wheatland Electric Annual Meeting. Winning artists will be contacted directly. 

General: There is not a limit to the entries per artist. Upon submission of an eligible entry into this contest, the artist agrees to give the Wheatland Electric Cooperative, Inc. indefinite and unlimited permission to utilize the entry for promotional, publicity, and other purposes without notice, compensation, or royalty. Once submitted, artwork becomes the property of Wheatland Electric Cooperative, Inc.
