14 Local High School Seniors Receive $1,000 Scholarships

All News

Wheatland Electric Cooperative, Inc., is proud to announce that we’ve awarded 14 scholarships for $1,000 each to high school seniors across our service territory.

These scholarships have been awarded to local students who attend one of the 13 high schools on our lines. In addition, at least one at-large scholarship for a student whose parent/guardian is a member of WEC but does not attend one of the schools in our service territory is also available each year.

A panel of the WEC Board of Trustees reviewed and selected all of our scholarship recipients. Several of these students and their families were recognized at our 2024 annual meeting in Great Bend City on April 24, 2024.

We congratulate these talented students, and we wish them continued success in the years ahead!
