During this time of year, Wheatland Electric Cooperative, Inc., looks forward to hosting Capital Credits Harvest Day in each of our office locations.

We love this event because it brings our members together, and it gives us the opportunity to catch up with one another while enjoying a holiday treat. It's a fantastic reason to get together to celebrate another benefit of being a cooperative member — money returned to the membership as capital credits!

The Wheatland Electric Board of Trustees has chosen to retire an additional $500,000 in capital credits this December, bringing the total amount returned to our membership this year to $1 million!

This year, to keep our members and employees safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, we've decided not to host the Capital Credits Harvest Day at our office locations. In lieu of an in-person celebration this year, we’re giving YOU a chance to win bill credits! 

That's because we want to stay connected with you. So, in exchange for your most up to date contact information, we're giving you the chance to win one of four $50 bill credits or a $200 bill credit!

You can update your information at https://www.weci.net/capital-credits, by logging in to your SmartHub account, or by calling your local Wheatland Electric office by Dec. 28, 2020. Five lucky members will receive our bill credits, just for ensuring that we have your correct information on file! 

And although we aren’t gathering in person this year, there’s still reason to celebrate! If you were a member in 1988, 1989, and/or 2019, be sure to check your December bill to see if you received a capital credits refund. This is just another reason it pays to be a member-owner of Wheatland Electric!
