Why You Should Attend Our 72nd Annual Meeting

All News

As a member, you have a voice in the future and direction of your electric co-op. Here are just some of the reasons you should consider attending our Aug. 26, 2020, annual meeting, located in Caldwell this year!

  1. It’s an opportunity for you to exercise one of the greatest benefits of being a Wheatland Electric member... voting for the upcoming Board of Trustees. This year, we have a contested election in District 2, so be sure to attend and vote for the newest board member. Any member who attends the annual meeting can also make nominations from the floor for Board of Trustee nominees.

  2. Learn about cooperative news and updates. Additionally, Wheatland Electric employees will be honored for their years of service during the meeting and winners of the Washington D.C. Youth Tour and Leadership Camp participants will be celebrated, along with the Wheatland Electric scholarship winners from this year.

  3. The annual meeting provides a great opportunity to visit with your local Wheatland Electric staff and Board of Trustees. Feel free to ask questions, share ideas, or express concerns during this time.

  4. Enjoy a delicious, free lunch, receive a gift for attending, and enter your name for a chance to win an awesome door prize!

For these reasons and more, we hope you’ll join us! If you’re not able to attend in person at 10:30 a.m. CST 8/26/2 at the Caldwell Community Building (119 E First, Caldwell, KS 67022), be sure to join us at one of seven remote viewing locations listed below. Doors open at 11 a.m. CST:
